Works well on an iPod Touch 4th generation using iOS 5.0.1 ... simple, sweet, obvious. It includes the octave number with the base note (C3, C4, F#3, etc.) and uses a red/green color code to let you know when you are in the ballpark. It even included the tunings for several string devices and even some alternate tunings for hammer dulcimer, guitar, etc. and displays those at the bottom of the meter display. I originally bought Tuner Pro (that shows the actual frequency and a rotating lower dial) but this one uses a "cleaner" sample rate so can get you tuned faster since you dont see a dial "swinging in the breeze". The only "down side" is that this app is iPhone/iPod Touch only (no iPad yet). Well worth the 99 cents and wish I had found this one when it was free.

Greatest ukulele tuner ever!

Doesnt pick up notes and when it does it only comes up for barely a second. Cant believe all the five stars. Just doesnt work and when it sort of flashed in the green I used guitar tuner! And it was 5 cents off. Much better tuner precise to the cent dont waste your dollar on this try the lite version of guitar tuner! Wish I could give 0 stars

It works but not the best

Just as good as my 50 dollar chromatic tuner

This app works great with my iPhone 4. I use it mostly to tune acoustic guitar. I just lay the phone on the guitar top and tune - works great for me. I like the flexibility of the chromatic tuner mode since I use lots of alternative timings!

This is a really nice app. I was just starting out learning guitar and I snapped 2 E strings and then I got this app. Not on string broken! I love this app. It is handy that if gives you different tunings for your guitar and uke or any other you pick! I only wish it had a tone setting. Now that would be amazing.

Feels like a real chromatic tuner works great with my guitar and mandolin.

I just bought my first ukulele. I didnt know how to tune it, so I used this app to help me! Im giving it four stars cause sometimes its hard for it to pick up the sound coming from the instrument. Other than that, its an awesome app!!

I use it all the time it works amazing and all my music friends ask what app is that so yep its the best tuning app out there and totally worth it

So far it is the best tuner that Ive tried, it not only works with guitar but any instrument you can imagine, also it is very complete as far as tones an settings go. Recommended!

Put drop a and lower tunings for the 7 and 8 strings and Ill be happy, but otherwise, great app!!

I am writing, recording a solo LP, and play every stringed instrument. This is my 3rd or 4th app I either bought or got free, and Gosh Almighty I wish Id have found it first. Just like others apps, bass does NOT have drop D or drop C tuning. Can you please update with more settings for all basses? Other than that its a great app for guitarist.
